15 NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION ENGINEERS RECEIVE

 15 Engineers from the National Telecommunications Commission of the Philippines undergo a  5-day Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS)  Familiarization Course at the Norwegian Training Center - Manila from November 25 to 29. Engineers who were sent to NTC-M came from different regions; NCR to Region 1V and VII plus those from Special Licensing Branch, Industry Planning & Research Division, Safety Radio Services & STCW Compliance Division, Industry Planning & Research, Equipment Standards and Network Facilities Division.

              These engineers  were sent by NTC for training as part of their continuous commitment to enhance institutional capability  of their engineers. This is also part of their compliance with STCW requirement on the implementation of Quality Standard System.   

             National Telecommunications Commission  being the Philippines regulatory agency to bring Filipinos accessible technologies, reliable infrastructure and affordable communications is therefore committed to have their engineers receive top-of-the-line training as well which was granted by the Norwegian Training Center.
 
 
Their course includes GMDSS Fundamentals, Communications System,  Radio Regulations, Digital Selective Calling (DSC), INMARSAT, 

NAVTEX,   EPIRB,  SART,  INMARSAT C, Ship's Antenna and Battery Supply.
