The core of instructions gives emphasis on general synopsis on relevant acts, rules and regulations. Practical examples from actual situations and conceptualized scenarios are used as class discourse covering routines and courses of actions to be followed regarding: accident prevention; maritime inquiry; dismissal of seafarers; and immediate actions to be taken after fatal accidents such as collision, grounding and pollution ensuring that adequate procedures and measures are put into effect.
