NSA CEO, Harald Solberg: PH remains a key manning hub

The Philippines remains a key manning hub for international shipping companies, but don't expect a boost in hiring anytime soon. The Norwegian Shipowners Association says the trade war, and slowing global economy are capping growth in the industry. NSA CEO Harald Solberg however believes the sector has bottomed out in 2018 and is on its way to recovery. Technology could also shake up hiring requirements for seafarers.
